THE ASSOCIATION

The Associazione Gianluca Spina ETS was founded in 2015 by a group of friends and colleagues of Gianluca Spina, at that time President of MIP Politecnico di Milano (now POLIMI Graduate School of Management) from 2011 until his premature passing on 21 February 2015.

The aim of the Association is to promote and support education and research initiatives in the field of Management, with specific emphasis on the subjects dearest to Gianluca, and above all Supply Chain Management. The Association also promotes cultural and innovation projects related to sustainability and social impact.

The Association facilitates the access of worthy and disadvantaged candidates to Masters and MBAs of POLIMI Graduate School of Management, POLI.design and Politecnico di Milano, rewards innovation in teaching and supports students, professionals and cultural institutions that create sustainable value for the community and society.

It also organizes fundraising activities in order to support its own initiatives and develop new ones.

Founded on 5 June 2015, the Association was recognized by the Lombardy Region with DR 240 of 21 October 2015. In June 2024, following its registration in the Single National Third Sector Register (Registro Unico Nazionale del Terzo Settore – RUNTS), the Association acquired the status of a Third Sector Entity (ETS), changing its name to Associazione Gianluca Spina ETS.

The founding members are MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business (now POLIMI Graduate School of Management), Fondazione Politecnico and Gianluca Spina’s wife, Francesca Bodini.
